    Sending Birthday Bear Hugs

    Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a card I created using a couple of new products I purchased recently from MFT Stamps.

This card uses the Stitched Triple Peek-a-Boo Window Die-namics to create the three windows across the top of the card. To decorate my card I used the Beary Special Birthday Stamp set.

I added a sentiment to the bottom of the card using a fishtail Banner. I also added a few Nuvo Drops to the designer paper.

For the inside of my card I added another of the bear images from the stamp set and a sentiment.

Stamps: Beary Special Birthday - MFT Stamps
Paper: White; Dark Pink; Happy Birthday To You Paper Pad - DoCrafts Papermania
Dies: Stitched Triple Peek-a-Boo Window - MFT Stamps; Everyday Sentiment Banners - Lawn Fawn

    Orange, Black and White

    Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Maryann Einam our challenge hostess for the month finishes off her month with one last challenge.

According to the Days of the Year calendar today is International Tiger Day. Create a card using the colors Orange, Black and White.

For my card this week I decided to play with Karen Burniston's Charm Accordion die set again. At first I was just going to die cut the main die once to create a two page card but then I remembered Karen's recent card/tutorial where she converted this into a three page card so figured I should give it a go. I love when you can get a different look just by using the same die.

While I was putting together my card, I spied the cute Tiger which sitting on my desk. I had stamped and cut these out a few months ago and was waiting for the right card to add it too, when I looked at the other images in the Simon Says Stamp Critter Costume Party stamp set I thought a few of them would work on my card.

I used the Word Set 2 - Birthday to create the birthday sentiment along the bottom of my card and also added black and orange Nuvo drops for a bit of fun.

Here is a look at my card when it is folded ready to be placed in an envelope.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

    Unicorn Wishes

    Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another animation stamp card with you all. Recently I found this cute Uchi's Design Unicorn Animation stamp set which is exclusive to Simon Says Stamp which as you can see I just had to purchase.

For my card today I have also used Uchi's Design Animation Envelope die set to create the slider envelope. I added one of the sentiments from the Lawn Fawn Push Here stamp set on the pull tab.

As you probably can tell, I had fun adding Nuvo Drops around the frame of the envelop slider pocket using two different pinks.

Here is a quick video of my card so you can see the card in action.

For the inside of my card I added some designer paper that I had used on the Animation Slider Envelope and also a couple of sentiments. I also added a few of the stars from the Unicorn Animation stamp set.

Stamps: Unicorn Animation Stamps - Uchi's Design; Fairy Wishes - Practical Publications; Push Here - Lawn Fawn
Paper: White; Dark Pink; Light Pink; Orchid DP - Kaisercraft; DP - SU
Dies: Animation Envelope - Uchi's Design

    Black, White and Silver

    Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Maryann Einam our challenge hostess for the month finishes off her month with one last challenge.

This week Maryann asked us to create a "Tall Thin" Card to celebrate Walk on Stilts Day.

I am still playing with my new Go Press and Foil machine by Couture Creations. As I was successful playing with embossing folders and foil the other day, I thought I would try again with some of my older embossing folders ..... well some worked some didn't so you may get to see some more embossing folders with foil in the future.

However while I was going through my embossing folders I noticed some older Spellbinders Impressablities which I thought I would try to see if I could use those to foil my cardstock. Yay .... this was a win that I ended up doing a few of these in a few different colors, one being this silver foiled image on black cardstock.

This card looks awesome in real life, but unfortunately I haven't been able to photograph it very successfully, most of the card is foiled. I have tried taking photos inside and out without success.

As you can see I have added the foiled circles to the top and bottom of the card and then I used the Art Deco Tag Hot Foil Stamp for the centre of the card.

For the inside of the card I added the left over foiled circles panel to the bottom of the card. I also added a Celebrate Your Birthday Hot Foil Stamp using silver foil to the centre of the card.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

    Waving Hello

    Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a card I created recently while playing around with my Go Press and Foil machine.

This time around I wanted to play with using an embossing folder to create a foiled background. I found an embossing folder sitting in a container where I keep things which are new waiting to be used .... it wasn't exactly new but it hadn't been used so I decided to play with that one ... I love all the dots on it. I used blue green foil for the background.

For my sentiment  used the Hello Hot Foil Stamp to apply gold foil to white and and die cut the sentiment using the ModaScrap Stitched Fishtail Banners. I added the "Waving" sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You stamp set.

To finish off the front of the card I added two mermaids to the card ... I thought those dots looked a little like bubbles under the sea.

For the inside of my card I used another Hot Foil Stamp to create the sentiment using gold foil and add another mermaid.

Stamps: Mermaid for You - Lawn Fawn
    Paper: White; Aqua; Teal
Dies: ModaScrap Stitched Fishtail Banners; Stitched Rectangles; Fitted Rectangles - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Hot Foil Stamps: Hello; You're Amazing - Ultimate Crafts
Other: Black Ink; Gold Foil; Blue Green Foil; Mosaic Constellation Embossing Folder - Ultimate Crafts; Bubblegum Blush Gloss Nuvo Drops; Crushed Grape Gloss Nuvo Drops; Foam Tape; Copics

Congrats on your new Baby Boy

    Hi Crafty Friends,

My niece recently gave birth to a baby boy, so of course I needed to create a card to celebrate his arrival.

For the base of my card I have used Spellbinders Happy Day die set to create a Vertical Stair Step Card.

To decorate my card I used Eline's Stork & Baby die set from Marianne Designs. I added the letters "B A B Y" down the steps and added the "Boy" circle sentiment to the right hand side of the card.

And finally my card closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

Stamps: Baby - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Paper: White; Snips & Snails DP - Doodlebug Design Inc
Dies: Happy Days Pop Up - Spellbinders; Eline's Stork & Baby - Marianne Design; By the Letter Upper Case Alphabet - MFT Stamps;  Round  Vignette Boy Insert - Frantic Stamper Inc. ; ModaScrap Stitched Fishtail Banners - Elizabeth Craft Designs

    Looking Up!

    Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a card I created using a new MFT Stamps stamp set I purchased recently.

For the background I used Distress Oxide inks to create my sky and grass. The grass is cut using a die set from Lawn Fawn. I also added a tree using a die I have had in my stash for some time.

The sentiment has been white embossed and die cut using a fishtail banner.

For the inside of the card I added two more of the giraffes and a sentiment.

Stamps: Giraffing Me Crazy- MFT Stamps
    Paper: White; Brown; Yellow
Dies: Sheltering Tree Duo - MFT Stamps; Grassy Hillside Borders - Lawn Fawn; All Seasons Tree (Retired) - Elizabeth Craft Designs

    Rose Dress

    Hi everyone,

Have you heard the news???? Elizabeth Craft Designs have some new stamps and coordinating dies from Krista Schneider coming soon!

For my card today I have used one of the dresses from the Fashion Set 2 Clear Stamp set and coordinating dies.

For the background of my card I used the ModaScrap Rose Pocket with the Go Press & Foil Machine to add the gold foiled image to the background. I love how you can turn your dies into stamps using this machine and foil. After adding the foiled image to white cardstock, I then added orange and red inks to add color to the background.

For the inside of my card I added a sentiment and rose from the new Fashionable Phrases Clear Stamp set.

    Paper: White; Red; Orange

    Relax, it's your Birthday

    Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Maryann Einam our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

Today is Hammock Day according to the Days of the Year calendar, what a wonderful way to relax. So for our challenge this week Maryann has asked us to create a card with the theme of relaxation in mind.

Of course having a hammock theme stamp I had to use that to create my card for this challenges. It's a fairly large stamp so it took me a while to decide how to use it until I finally decided to use it on a pop-up card. I used the Lots of Pops Pop-Up Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. Unfortunately this die has now been discontinued.

Here is a side view of my card so you can see the pop up panel a little better.

When I was putting my hammock stamp back in it's drawer, I discovered this cutie so of course it was the perfect time to use it for the front of my card. I added the word "Summer" from A Way with Words - 4 Seasons die set and the word "Fun" from the A Way with Words - Fun/Play die set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

    Ir-elephant Without You

    Hi crafty friends!

Today is my sister's birthday ... as she love elephants I normally make her an elephant themed card to give her. Earlier on in the year Art Impressions came out with their PopCard stamp/die sets one of which was an elephant, of course I knew immediately what I would be using for her card. I have had the set sitting on my desk for a number of months and can finally get to use it.

This one was a lot easier to put together than the first PopCard I made earlier in the year when I used the Panda PopCard set. Since then there have been a couple of videos which I was able to watch to learn the easiest way to create one of these.

I used the Lawn Fawn Flower Hillside Pop-Up Add-On to create the grassy area with flowers.

Here is a quick video to show my card in action.

Here is a side view of the inside of the card so you can see the layers used to create the elephant.

I kept the front of my card fairly simple seeing the focus is on the inside of the card. However I had to play with my new Go Press & Foil Machine and hot foil stamps and foil. All the birthday hot foil stamps I ordered are still on backorder so I had to make  do with this Celebrate sentiment. Love how shiny this is in real life as you will see if you watch the video above.

Stamps:  Elephant PopCard - Art Impressions; Fairy Wishes - Practical Publishing
Paper: White; Pink; Hello Happiness 6 x 6 Paper Pack - Taylored Expressions
Dies: Elephant PopCard; PopCard Template - Art Impressions; Flower Hillside Pop-Up Add-On - Lawn Fawn; Stitched Ovals; Dotted Scallop Ovals; ModaScrap Stitched Fishtail Banners  - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Other: Black Ink; Go Press & Foil; Blue-Green Foil (Iridescent Finish) - Couture Creations; Foam Tape; Copics

    Have a Blast!

    Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Maryann Einam our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

Apparently another day on the Days of the Year Calendar is Moon and Space Exploration Day, so for our challenge this week Maryann has asked us to use this theme to inspire our card.

I remember 48 years ago when I was in grade 9 going to school one day ... it was July 21st for us as it was my sister's birthday. As soon as we got to school we were told to go home as something exciting had happened .... man had finally walked on the moon. So off we went home to watch this exciting event on tv.

This is actually my third space themed card I have created for a CCEE challenge this year (one didn't have to be space but it was what I ended up creating) .... so I decided I needed a new stamp set to play with this time! I have used MFT Stamps Space Explorers stamp set as well as my trusty There She Goes Out of this World Stamp set.

For the background of my card I have again used the galaxy technique to create my starry sky.

For the inside of my card I have used the pivot arm from Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-Up die set on either side of the fold so that two of my space explorers can pop up on the card. I love that I can include two pop ups instead of the normal one.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action!

Here is a close up of my card so you can see the pop up panel a little better.

And finally one more close up again to help you see the pop up panel on the card.
