Buzz Buzz!

MFT-Buzz-Duo-wm

Hi everyone,

I have a couple more MFTeaser’s to share with you all today in readiness of the MFT Stamps new release, this coming Wednesday 1st September.

Today the MFT Design team are featuring the “Pure Innocence” range, and this month there will be three brand new Pure Innocence girls & boy stamps to be released … you are going to love them!!!!!! The PI’s to be released include: PI – Super Boy; PI – Honey Bee and PI – Princess.

For my teasers today I decided to play with the PI – Honey Bee set. As soon as I saw this cute girl who is dressed up as a bee, I though bee hives. So I opened my Make the Cut program and started playing …. first I created the card and then decided that it would be also fun to use this template to create a box as well. After a bit of playing this is what I came up with! This is the hardest template I have created so far and I am quiet pleased with the results!!!!!

MFT-Buzz-wm

To create my beehive card I cut out the base beehive that folds in half and then the five layers for my hive so I could ink around each layer to give the beehive more dimension. I also added the door which was also created using Make the Cut.

To finish off my beehive card I added the cute PI – Honey Bee on the left side and also used the following Die-namic dies:

  • Flower Trio & Leaf Trio
  • Grass Border

Here is the inside of my card, here I added the sentiment which was stamped onto one of the clouds from the clouds Die-namics die set.

The beehive box is created the same was as the card except that the beehive bases are two separate pieces and are joined by a box in the middle.

Hi Little Lady!

MFT-Emma-Mommy-wm

Hi everybody,

It’s day 2 of the MFTeasers, in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Wednesday 1st September.

Today the Design Team are featuring three of the new stamp sets that will be released, these include: “Fred Bear Goes Fishing”; "Emma Playing Mommy” and “Wyatt the Conductor”.

For my card today I decided to use “Emma Playing Mommy”, isn’t she just super duper cute!!!!!!!! To create my card I decided to create a card using my cricut and the wild card cartridge …. this is the first card in the book called scallop which is actually a gatefold card.

To help create my scene I used two of MFT Die-namic dies, the cloud trio and the grass border.

Here is another photo of my card this time with the ribbon removed so you can see where the card opens.

MFT-Emma-Mommy4-wm

And the inside … the sentiment is another of the sentiments included in the set. I also used the Framed Greeting MFT Die-namic dies to stamp the sentiment on. To create my layers I cut two more of the framed greeting dies on purple card and layered them behind so that one was overlapping at the top and the other at the bottom.

Striving For Success!

MFT-Stive-Success-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s that time again when the MFT Stamps designs team begins showing our MFTeasers in preparation of the new stamps which will be released by MFT Stamps after the release party this coming Wednesday 1st September.

Today the Design Team are featuring three of the new stamps to be released. These are “Tiny Town Halloween”; “Wendy Uppercase Alphabet”  and “Clearly Sentimental About Harvesting”.

For my teaser today I used the Clearly Sentimental About Harvesting set.  I used the MFT Die-namics Framed Greeting Die to stamp my sentiment on and also cut two more in red which I used to create the layers underneath.

The flowers are cut from My Favorite Felt - Veggie Garden Collection  using the new MFT Die-namics Perfect Petal Trio Die. And of course the ric rac border was created using the MFT Die-namics Ric Rac border die and the Creations Grosgrain Texture Board.

My card is also a sample for September’s Guest Designer challenge which is hosted by Cindy Haffner and I. Click HERE to find all the details about becoming MFT’s next Guest Designer!  :)

Summer Fun!

C4C51-Summer-Fun-wm

Hi all!

My card today combines two challenges. First up being Saturday it is time to play with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

This week the challenge was to include Lattice in some form on our cards/projects. Here are a few ideas to get you started …. lattice using your cricut machine, dies, embossed lattice using scorpal etc, designer paper that has a lattice pattern, lattice background stamps or image stamps that include lattice on them … I am sure I missed a few options but you get the idea!

For my card I decided to pull out my cricut Wild Card cartridge which I discovered thanks to my friend Cindy that it has a lattice design on it. I measured the size of the panel I had on the side and cut my lattice piece to suit that and then added some pearls to the crossover pieces.

The second challenge this week is the challenge on the Oh Alice challenge blog. This week Paper Pretties is the sponsor for the challenge and the challenge was a little girl theme. I decided to use one of Paper Pretties newest release sets … Swing By Sometime Sophia. I stamped Sophia on my white card and then masked her and added in the cloud pieces and then used my copic airbrush to create the sky.

C4C51-Summer-Fun2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, I added a piece of lattice over the designer paper on the inside of my card as well.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Floral Modern Grid

Floral-Modern-Grid-wm

Hi all,

I created the front panel for this card sometime last year and it has been sitting in a container on my desk all that time waiting for me to turn it into a card. Well I finally found some time to layer it up and do just that.

This technique is called the Modern Grid Technique, and is easy to do … stamp your images all over your card first … solid or outline images both work. and then once you have all your images on your panel you then rule lines in both directions stopping when you come to an image. You can also add dots/dashes or other decorations in some of the panels and if you want to color some of the panels.

Hippo Birthday!

CCEE1034-Hippo-wm

Hi all!

It’s challenge time again over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This is the last sketch from our August hostess with the mostess Tosh Leyendekker. I have had fun this month working with Tosh’s sketches although this last one for some reason was tougher then  the rest for me … no idea why!

I decided to play with another of my new The Cat’s Pyjama stamp sets that I got recently so selected this cute And Baby Makes Three set which can make cute baby cards or even Birthday cards like I have here … don’t you just love that sentiment!!!!!!

CCEE1034-Hippo2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, I added the little hippo to the corner of my card.

Back To School!

PWC115-Dragon-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge over on the Paper Pretties Blog.

This week we are to use “Back To School” as the inspiration for our cards/project.

Paper Pretties does has two fun school themed sets in the Boutique … Back to School Sophia and Look Out World Cooper. As much as I love these two sets … I wanted to play with the new release stamps which I hadn’t used as yet and one of them was this cute Dragon from the Imagine set …. all I had to do was figure out how I could make a dragon relate to back to school LOL.

Now I guess if you were Harry Potter this wouldn’t be much of a problem LOL … cause dragons would fit in … and after some thought I decided that I would create some bookplates which could be placed on or inside books. Here’s what I came up with.

PWC115-Dragon3-wm

First up I measured the size of the nestabilities die which I would be using and then create a box about that size in my Photoshop program. and then I typed in the text…. This book belongs to I printed these out on a piece of card and then die cut the shape and finally stamped on my image.

PWC115-Dragon2-wm

Here are the bookplates all packaged up ready to give away.

Want to play along with us:

How to Enter: If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project using the above challenge and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword PWC116.

Don’t forget to include link to your card on the Paper Pretties Blog, so everyone can see it too. You don’t have to use Paper Pretties stamps to play, but of course if you have them we would love to see you use them. One random participant will receive a Paper Pretties Stamps set … seeing the Paper Pretties Blog for more details.

More Summer Fun With Riley!

Riley1510-Summer-Fun-Napkin

Hi Riley Fans!

It’s challenge time again over on the Riley and Company blog. This week the challenge is hosted by Cathy Edgar who challenged us to create a scene!

I originally created this card for the previous challenge hosted by Laurie which was to turn a household item into a stamp to create a background for your card. I had my card all made and went to blog it and went to the site to find the wording for the challenge and big OOOPS! I read the challenge wrong and thought I just had to use a household item on my card. My household item I had used here was a napkin which is that bright background that you see!!!!!!!!. Anyway all was not lost as I had also created a scene using two of the new Riley stamps I decided to keep it for this week's challenge instead ... phew!

I used two of the new release Riley's for my card, Under The Tree Riley and Picnic Riley.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Design Teams blogs today so see what they created for this challenge.

Stamps: Under The Tree Riley; Picnic Riley – Riley and Company
Paper: White; Blue; Pink; Napkin

For my card today I used the cute Watermelon Fun Bugs … aren’t they darling!!!!! I love shaped cards so I decided to create a watermelon shaped card which I designed using SCAL and then used my cricut to cut it all out. The water melon seed shape is cut out of the top red card so that the black layer underneath shows though … so much easier than attaching all those seeds by hand hehe.

Alota-Melon3-wm

Here is the inside of my card, which is the same as the outside other then the sentiment.

I have uploaded the files of my template if anyone would like it ... this is the first time I have done this so I hope I did it correctly. Please let me know if you have any problems.
